Meet Becci

My equestrian journey began at a young age, riding a Connemara pony named Poppy.

Poppy was instrumental in teaching me the foundations of being a rider, from mastering rising trot to jumping a fence, it is Poppy who set the foundations of my career.

After Poppy, I found Alfie (as a three-year-old), who has remained by my side (right up to the present day), and can be firmly credited with exposing me to some ‘spirited’ behaviour along with introducing me to the competitive world, of showing.

Following my academic pursuits, my unwavering passion for horses led me to Writtle College. There, I pursued a Level 3 Diploma in Horse Management and successfully completed the BHS Stage 1 and 2 examinations.

In 2010, I took on a part-time role at an eventing yard, gradually advancing to the position of Head Girl. This experience served as a crucial phase in my professional development, solidifying my commitment to British Eventing.

Since 2016, I've established myself as a Freelance Professional, and my competitive achievements include participating in events up to Novice/1* at British Eventing, Elementary at British Dressage, and Newcomers at British Show Jumping.

My overall passion lies in equine education, particularly nurturing the potential of young horses, and contributing to their progression from raw talent to accomplished horses.

In my privileged ‘hands on’ position as an established equestrian, I am a specialist in handling challenging horses and excel in devising effective strategies for various situations. There is always a workaround!

My coaching portfolio covers a diverse range of horses, ponies, and clients, and it is my belief that regular client communication is crucial for building strong relationships, ensuring alignment with both horse and rider expectations and/or needs.

It would be fair to say that diversity is an inherent part of the equestrian world, and I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your equestrian needs.
